Transportation
Transportation availability varies by grade level.
Prekindergarten

Transportation is provided for Hartford residents only. Non-Hartford residents are eligible for a reimbursement stipend, unless they live in the town where the school is located. Bloomfield residents are not eligible for a transportation stipend for this school.
Kindergarten – Grade 8
- Transportation is provided for students living inside the RSCO transportation zone. Review the transportation zone map to determine eligibility.
- RSCO does not provide door-to-door transportation. Bus stops vary and may include stops in your neighborhood or centralized locations in or near your town. Typically, centralized bus stops are not within walking distance of a student’s home. Families are responsible for transportation to the bus stop.
- Students attending a magnet school located in their town receive transportation through their home district. Bloomfield residents receive transportation through Bloomfield Public Schools for this school. Contact the district’s transportation office for more information.
- For students living outside the transportation zone, families may transport their child to an existing stop within the transportation zone or provide their own transportation. A reimbursement stipend is available for families who live outside the transportation zone and bring their child to school.

Special Features
- PK/KG: introduction to theater, dance, arts, pe and general music.
- 1st–5th grade: instrumental music exploration through small and large group lessons using the Suzuki method for strings.
- Starting in 4th grade: Choice of strings, woodwind, brass, or percussion
- Starting in 6th grade: Specialize in a specific art form
- Middle School’s College Prep block: Additional 49 minutes a day for work and support beyond core classrooms, with enrichment, extension, and pull-out services as well as additional time for ensemble work.

The following priorities are used in the placement process and can increase the chance of a placement if the school has available seats. To receive priority at Ana Grace, you must apply during the on-time application period and make the school your first choice. Applicants receive priority in the order listed below.

CONTINUING THE MAGNET EXPERIENCE!
Ana Grace Academy of the Arts School 8th grade students have a direct pathway to 9th grade at either Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts High School Full Day or Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Half Day Program. To be eligible for direct pathway priority, applicants must submit an on-time RSCO application and make either the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts High School Full Day or Half Day Program their first-choice school.
Students enrolled in grades 5 and 8 at Ana Grace Academy of the Arts may also receive a pathway priority when applying to the following schools:
