Transportation availability varies by grade level.
Prekindergarten
-
Transportation is provided for Hartford residents only. Non-Hartford residents are eligible for a reimbursement stipend, unless they live in the town where the school is located. Wethersfield residents are not eligible for a transportation stipend for this school.
Kindergarten – Grade 5
- Transportation is provided for students living inside the RSCO transportation zone. Review the transportation zone map to determine eligibility.
- RSCO does not provide door-to-door transportation. Bus stops vary and may include stops in your neighborhood or centralized locations in or near your town. Typically, centralized bus stops are not within walking distance of a student’s home. Families are responsible for transportation to the bus stop.
- Students attending a magnet school located in their town receive transportation through their home district. Wethersfield residents receive transportation through Wethersfield Public School for this school. Contact the district’s transportation office for more information.
- For students living outside the transportation zone, families may transport their child to an existing stop within the transportation zone or provide their own transportation. A reimbursement stipend is available for families who live outside the transportation zone and bring their child to school.
Prekindergarten Tuition
This school charges a fee for prekindergarten. By law, CREC (Capitol Region Education Council) and Goodwin University Education System (GUES) magnet schools must charge tuition for prekindergarten (PK). The cost is based on a family’s income, and no family will pay more than $2,351 per child. Families with more than one child enrolled in PK at the school also receive a discount. For more information on what your family’s cost would be, please contact the school.
