Transportation is provided for Hartford residents only. Non-Hartford residents are eligible for a reimbursement stipend, unless they live in the town where the school is located. Wethersfield residents are not eligible for a transportation stipend for this school.

Special Features

Students enrolled in the Aerospace pathway at Progress Drive receive direct pathway priority to continue the magnet experience in kindergarten – grade 5 at Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Elementary School in Rocky Hill. Aerospace pathway students will be placed in classrooms together at the Progress Drive location, which means they will have established friendships when transitioning to the new school for kindergarten. Like the direct pathway school, students will engage in STEM-infused learning.

Placement Priorities

Applicants applying to our school with one or more of the following priorities may have an increased chance of receiving a placement offer if they apply during the on-time application period and select the appropriate CREC Preschool and Progress Drive pathways option as their first-choice school selection.

CONTINUING THE MAGNET EXPERIENCE!

CREC Preschool at Progress Drive, Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Pathway PK4 students have a direct pathway to Kindergarten at Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Elementary School. To be eligible for this pathway, applicants must submit an on-time RSCO application with Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Elementary School as their first-choice school.
