At Betances Learning Lab (BLL) Magnet School we operate with the core belief that young children are highly capable learners, and our school prepares students to be independent, innovative, and responsible members of an ever-changing global world. We focus on early literacy achievement and expose students to all genres of literature from prekindergarten through 4th grade. Alongside the literacy-based focus, we provide integrated arts and hands-on STEM experiences to round out the curriculum. Our dedicated teachers use research-based best practices to tailor the curriculum to individual interests and learning styles to ensure every student is learning and achieving to their greatest potential. Our warm and engaging classrooms give students the opportunity to learn from each other during small multi-age group activities and build long-lasting friendships.

CONTINUING THE MAGNET EXPERIENCE!

Betances Learning Lab Magnet School 4th grade students have a direct pathway to 5th grade at Betances STEM Magnet School. To be eligible for this pathway, applicants must submit an on-time RSCO application with Betances STEM Magnet School as their first choice.

The following priorities are used in the placement process and can increase the chance of a placement if the school has available seats. To receive priority, you must apply during the on-time application period and make the school your first choice. Applicants receive priority in the order listed below.
