Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (HMTCA), in cooperation with Trinity College, offers an Early College program focusing on the Arts and Sciences. We provide students with high-quality academics and a rich selection of courses and enrichment programs spanning music, theater, visual arts, dance, computer science, engineering, and advanced mathematics. Our school&rsquo;s team-based middle school model offers a rigorous academic program and a comprehensive array of related-arts classes, including visual arts, performing arts, dance, band, orchestra, coding, and robotics, to prepare students for high school while exploring their interests in arts and sciences.

FUTURE READINESS 
We equip students for college and beyond through an immersive college-ready environment. We offer 13 AP courses and Early College Experience (ECE) classes through UConn. Our partnership with Trinity College provides high school students opportunities to participate in writing and science programs on campus. Twelfth-grade students attend classes on Trinity College&rsquo;s campus during their senior year, ensuring a seamless transition to higher education.

To receive priority, you must apply during the on-time application period and make the school your first choice. Applicants receive priority in the order listed below.

Special Features

The Visual and Performing Arts theme encourages students to develop artistic creations to communicate thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Students have access to specialized courses in art, music, dance, digital arts, creative writing, theater design and other forms of performance art.
